27thApril ko jinnah university(dep.of visual studies)ki janib say munaqid kiye gaey exhibition me sindh k wazeer e taleem Peer mazhar ul haq nay shirkat ki.
Exhibition mein visual studies ki talibat k banaey huway art k namoonay rakhay gaey jinhein behad saraha gaya,is moqay par wazeer taleem ney jinnah university k baray mein apnay khayalat ka izhar kartay huway kaha k ye sindh ki wahid university hai jo sirf khuwateen k liye mukhtis ki gai hai unhon ne intezamia ki karkardgi ko bhi behad saraha or khuwateen ki taleem par zor detay hue kaha k mulk ki taraqi me taleem yafta khuwateen bht bara kirdar ada kar sakti hein.

Insan bhook to shayad bardasht kar lay magar pyas bardasht karna bht mushkil hai,isi khayal k tehat Jinnah university for women ne men gate k sath hi naya filter nasb kia hai jis k thanday pani k aas paas huma waqt larkiyon ka jamghata laga rehta hai or talibaat k kehnay k mutabiq unhein is sahulat say bht araam mila hai talibaat ka kehna hai k intezamia ko isi tarah talibat ki choti choti zaroorton ka khayal rakhna chaheye.

MIDDIES

As the time of mid terms come forward my tension grows up too and I give mid terms a name of "MIDDIES"....as I saw every where girls are talking about middies and books then my tension reached at high peak..and in tension I don't understand what to do so I just take my friends to cafeteria for having lunch and to release tension....

when we reached to cafeteria our tension crossed the high peak because every where girls are preparing for middies so we just return back and went to small canteen to digest lunch in positive environment but we saw the Photostat shop is full with girls and shouting at shopkeepers for searching their notes.

  I ask to some girls their opinion about middies they replied "these days we consider ourselves as book warms.we are concentrating on our studies to get well prepared  for appearing in exams and get cleared with flying colours".

at that time we realized that now we have to think about middies too and it's time to prepare for notes and to buy books and finally start studying...as soon as are lunch completed we run for library and start searching books and making notes...

FEVER OF LAWN EXHIBITION

MELA OF JUW

on 26th march 20111,jinnah university for women organised a grand event mela for the students to chear up...mela start at 9 a.m and end till 5 p.m.Dozens of volunteers enthusiastically staff their booths, creating a convivial, welcoming atmosphere. Festival-goers return year after year for the food– delectable festival favorites like biryani and chicken shuarma gol gappas and juice and Qasre shereen’s sweets and different pastries and other sweet treats to tempt you.

After a long schedule of studies it is a break for enjoyment and students need this type of break.So,it's a gift for students after their hard work for mid terms.Students wearing colourfull dresses and having smiles on their faces.Different colours were scattered in the JUW.the atmosphere of JUW was totally different as compare to regular bases.

me and my friends started roaming the venue. There were two tents under which were different stalls. We started from the right side stalls where teasing sun rays were peeking through it. Some of our class mates also arranged face painting and game stalls there. My sister and I tried each game by forgetting those rays for which we always had been careful to cover in our unit. But I lost 2 games and she won.

All in all, it was great spending time with my friends, as when there are friends; you make your place yourself. We all meet in the University daily but this was a different way as we get this opportunity after 2 years. So it was fun in "MELA"

Apni jarein awam me rakhnay wali is jamat ki bailon pr humesha dard hi k phool khiltay rahay hein,aik aamir k dor me iski paidaish hui or phr thora arsa hi iqtedar sambhalay hua tha k aik or aamir ka dor is par musalat hogaya,baani ney daar par shahadat pai or phr shahadaton ka ye silsila is khandan ka tarrah-e-imtiaz hi bn kr rah gaya.

aik jahan ney is pr khanjar zani ka silsila jari rakha laikn hr bar is k karkunon ne apnay qaideen k lahu me lahu shamil ki,in karkunon ka imteaz ye hai k lafz "jiyala"k maeni hi in k liye makhsus hogaey_ye karkun din ho ya raat apni qayadat ki pukar k liye apnay kaan baidar rakhta hai,jiyalon ki ye foj apni nadaryon k bawajud na sataish ki tamana rakhti hai na silay ki parwah kartay hein,humesha ksi challenge k intezar me rehtay hein aisay karkun partiyon ko kam kam hi naseeb hotay hein or peoples party ki ye khushkismati hai k usay humesha aisay karkunon ka sath mila hai.

Come connect jis ki tayaryan ek mahinay say jari thein or jis mein pooray mass communication nay bhahr chahr kr hisa liya or dramay,dance performance,parodies perform ki.
Department ki tamam teachers ko dawat di gai thi jin mein miss sabeen,miss tooba zaheer,miss batool or miss umm-e-habiba nay shirkat kar kay talibat ka hosla barhaya chief guest k faraiz sabqa chairperson miss shahida qazi nay nibhaey or jeetnay walon mein inamaat taqseem kiye gae.

Tamam larkiyon nay qirat or huda ki is kawish ko khoob saraha or apni raaey ka izhar krte huwe kaha hai k is tarah k event munaqid honay chahiyen.

Citizen Journalism

Citizen journalism is when private individuals do essentially what professional reporters do – report information. That information can take many forms, from a podcast editorial to a report about a city council meeting on a blog. It can include text, pictures, audio and video. But it’s basically all about communicating information of some kind.

An extended lecture was held in Jinnah University For Women on January 29,  2011 under the supervision of Department of Mass Communication. The objective of lecture was to highlight the need of Citizen Journalism in the Society.
The Guest Speaker,Mr Owais Mangalwala is an Anchor and Producer in Dawn News Channel.
Mr.Owais Mangalwala gave a lecture on Citizen Journalism. He made the start of his speech by giving some examples on citizen journalism. He stated the following

“The people who are audience they used the tool of journalist”

He described the types of citizen journalism as follows:

1. Sharing of experience
2. Sharing of opinion
3. Sharing of discovery
4. Sharing of expertise 

 He also mentioned 14 points of journalism:

1. Necessity to b real
2. How to report
3. Events are all around us, don't wait for something special
4. Write your own point of view
5. Don't think that your report is boring
6. Describe to a limited extent
7.  Accuracy is the key
8.  Usage of correct grammar & vocab
9. Avoid copy and paste
10. Follow code of conduct
11. Must know about news writing
12. Feedback
13. Make a rule for your own self
14. Keep your eyes open ,reporters are all around us
